Lose Yourself Lyrics
Look, if you had one shot, or one opportunity
To seize everything you ever wanted-One moment
Would you capture it or just let it slip?
His palms are sweaty, knees weak, arms are heavy
There's vomit on his sweater already, mom's...
To seize everything you ever wanted-One moment
Would you capture it or just let it slip?
His palms are sweaty, knees weak, arms are heavy
There's vomit on his sweater already, mom's...

'The soul's escaping, through this hole that it's gaping
This world is mine for the taking
Make me king, as we move toward a, new world order
A normal life is boring, but super stardom's close to post mortem '
Because of all the pressure and expectations lofted on me, I'm losing who I am and what I initially loved about being an artist. My status as a superstar seems contrived to me because my handlers have rearranged in my head my perception of the real world. I thought life was boring, but being a superstar is almost like being dead.
'It only grows harder, only grows hotter
He blows us all over these hoes is all on him
Coast to coast shows, he's know as the globetrotter
Lonely roads, God only knows
He's grown farther from home, he's no father
He goes home and barely knows his own daughter '
The problem with being a superstar is that you need to keep producing and keep producing bigger and better things... That usually means working harder and sacrificing more. Eventually that takes its toll in the form of loneliness and alienation.
'But hold your nose cause here goes the cold water
His hoes don't want him no mo, he's cold product
They moved on to the next schmoe who flows
He nose dove and sold nada
So the soap opera is told and unfolds
I suppose it's old partner', but the beat goes on
Da da dum da dum da da '
This is the game: find the newest, hottest artist and exploit him until he stops producing. The fame of a rapstar is owned by the game, not by the artist, and will go where the game tells them to go. As soon as the current hot artist falters, a new one is already waiting in the wings, and the spotlight shifts... leaving only public examination and humiliation at the hands of the media. The irony is that this process is obvious and well known, but it still keeps happening because it is the nature of the beast.
The real question is why did E write this verse into the middle of the song and not into the end. It's like he's trying to tell himself coming up something about what he's striving for...
It has nothing to do with the right-wing NWO crap, so just stop.2TOP RATED

it also refers to the film 8 mile(hense it being the theme song for the film)
it is about him having only one shot to show his true potential.
in the film he failed his first opportunity and knew the 2nd time he got he had to take it- his one opportunity to do everything he ever wanted.3TOP RATED

On the hook he doesn't say it to the fans. He quotes the ones who used to say it. They said 'Take the chance' he took it and he regreted it. 'This opportunity comes once in a lifetime' when someone asked him if he wanted to work as a rapper, being famous and all. The song fucking talk about him, how he feels... Only him can say how he feels bad. Listen the lyrics. Listen it really and not just the chorus.- This interpretation has been marked as poor. view anyway

I'm having trouble imagining these people even knowing who Eminem is let alone analysing his lyrics.
I think that if you asked them to interpret Mary Has a Little Lamb they would find Masonic/illuminati symbolisim there too.
These lyrics are what they are, mean what they mean - there's no hidden agenda, coded messages or anything else.
Get over it, seriously.anonymous

'You better lose your self in the MUSIC the moment you BETTER NEVER LET IT GO'
hes saying he lost his soul for rapping and never wants to let go of it.
'The soul's escaping, through this hole that it's gaping
THIS WORLD IS MINE FOR THE TAKING
Make me king, as we move toward a, NEW WORLD ORDER'
new world order is Masonry in which alot of mason are in the illuminati. This world is mine for the taking, the illuminati is all about controlling the world and total dominationanonymous

You'd better lose yourself in the music, the moment ;
If you’re going to do anything in life, put your all into it. The greatest of opportunities aren’t exactly commonplace, so make sure that you do everything you can to make the most of any that come your way. You may never get a second chance.
It's Eminem's greatest song in my opinion @
